Getting to know me, the SuperMom...NOT!!!

Yes, that's right. I'm the "SuperMom...NOT!!!" which basically means that I am NOT a supermom. Pretty simple concept.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say that I'm a bad mother. Not at all! I LOVE my girls and they mean the world to me. It's just that no matter what I do or how hard I try, I can't just make/mold them into the perfect little angels that I know they are.

And for some reason I'm also not successful at molding myself into the perfect mother, not that that mold actually exists. But just in case, if anybody out there knows where I can get the perfect mother mold please let me know. 'k?

Anyways, one of the reasons why I believe to be the "SuperMom...NOT!!!" is that there's so many bad things in this world, and I can't protect my daughters from absolutely everything, although I try, I really, really do. And when they have problems that I can't just kiss and make better anymore, well... I feel like I'm not doing my job (as a mom that is). Used to be in the good ol' days that my babies would fall down and cry, come to mommy and good ol' SuperMom would just kiss it and make it better. All's well!

Mom is Super !!!

Nowadays, I have a 9 yr old being bullied at school. I've tried to kiss it and make it better, but guess what??? Not working ! Hence,
SuperMom...Not!

In Halloween I tried to make my 6 yr old a costume, and for that sole purpose I went out and purchased a $180 sewing machine, only to turn out that this mean lady (me! ) made my poor baby cry, because she didn't want to hurt her SuperMom...Not's feelings by telling her that the costume she made with so much love looked weird ! Again,
SuperMom...Not!

As hard as I try, I can't get my daughters to brush their teeth everyday!!! Let alone twice a day.
SuperMom...Not!

Kid's room, a mess. (that's putting it lightly) Let's just say that I'll give a prize to whoever can find an inch, heck a centimeter of the actual floor. Again,
SuperMom...Not!

5 a day.....ha! No comments, let's just go ahead and say it...
SuperMom...Not!

Read a bedtime story every night... Oh my lord! Are you kidding me? Yes, yes I am aware of the many advantages of this, but come on. I'm just
SuperMom...Not!

now on this last one here, don't get me wrong. My girls are readers and so am I. In fact, in my defense, we each just bought a book at the mall this weekend. I'm into reading the paper everyday (although nobody has to know that I go straight for the Dear Abby's, Miss Manners, Comics, and the fun stuff... and I'm not scared to say that, 'cause as I said, I go to that first but I do eventually get around to reading the rest of the paper) And I also like novels, and I'm usually always reading a book... so my girls do feed off of that and they've gotten into reading. 9 yr old likes, scratch that, loves Junie B. Jones books, although I do think she's probably a little too old for that. I think she should advance to whatever the next level is, although I don't know what that would be. 6 yr old also loves to read books and usually we just sit and all read together, each their own book, but I don't really read to them directly. Actually, my girls usually read to me!

Well, you can pretty much get the picture as to why I am

SuperMom...Not!!!

Again, it's not by choice. It's just a fact of life that my 'babies' are growing up and I can no longer protect them from the cruel, cruel world out there.

That and I can't make them listen to me 100% of the time! Again, if someone knows of a potion to cure that, let me know. 'k?
