Writer's Workshop Thursday (Formerly WWWednesday)

The lovely attention craving poodle has given us another assignment for today, our Writer's Workshop Thursday. Previously done on Wednesdays, but to be done on Thursdays from now on. Not my decision, but the attention craving poodle's decision. And even though she didn't ask me, I am 100% okay with that, 'cause I just *luv* her blog too much to complain, plus it gives me an extra day to complete my assignment, plus it's her blog and she can do whatever the hdoublehockeysticks she wants with it! okay? OK! =0D

The topic I chose was about the reoccuring dreams. I actually had this dream last night (wouldn't you know!)... And I've had it before. LOTS OF TIMES! ! !

TheDream Where My Teeth Fall Out!!!

Yes, 1 by 1, my teeth keep falling out until I have a handful of them!
Weird I know.
At least I thought it was weird, but I looked this info up online and it turns out that "your teeth falling out are the most common dreams we here at Dream Moods receive."

And the dream last night was so real, so vivid. I actually remember saying in my dream "omg, I can't believe this is really happening. I always dream about this but now they really are falling out!" And I was frieking 'cause it was so real...

There's many reasons why I think I might have dreamt of this...

1- Monkey lost a tooth that very night & I could have had that on my mind... which by the way the toothfairy forgot to collect the tooth!!! We need to fire that toothfairy. Oh wait, that's me! I'm fired... Good, 'cause I don't like paying that much for teeth anyways!

2- I've heard dreaming of your teeth falling off means MONEY is coming your way. I sure wish that would be the case because we don't have any of that right now and could sure use some! But wait, maybe it just means MONEY PERIOD, which then I would translate my dream into money problems, which would definitley hit it right on the nose!

3- I've also heard that it means that you feel like you talked too much, like gossiped or something that you now regret. WHAT??? Me regret gossipping??? Never! ! ! I love to gossip, j/k Actually, I don't like to talk about people behind their backs. If I have a problem I'll tell you straight out OR keep it to myself (which is mostly the case because I don't like confrontations), but I won' t go bashing you behind your back. I'm just not that kind of person. Although now that I think about it, I do feel bad about 1 of my previous posts where I talked about how my neighbors didn't feed their kids and how bad I felt for the kids. I HAVE had that pots on my mind A LOT 'cause like I said, I don't like to talk about people behind their backs, and this kind of feels like I did. Hmmm...

Well, that's what I concluded from my dream, so I decided to lo0k it up. I went to Dream Moods and this is what they have to say ( Kind of long! Sorry )

"My Teeth Are Falling"
Dreams that your teeth are falling out are the most common dreams we here at Dream Moods receive. Common dream scenarios include having your teeth crumbling in your hands or your teeth falling out one by one with just a light tap. (That is exactly what was happenning!)Such dreams are not only horrifying and shocking, but often leaves the dreamer with a lasting image of the dream. So what does it mean? One theory is that dreams about your teeth reflect your anxiety about your appearance and how others perceive you. Sadly, we live in a world where good looks are valued highly and your teeth play an important role in conveying that image. Teeth are used in the game of flirtations, ( Because apparently nothing about me is as cute as my teeth, yeah... that must be why I dream that) whether it be a dazzling and gleaming smile or affectionate necking. These dreams may stem from a fear of your sexual impotence (ha, ha, ha! Remember the phrase, don't believe everything you read? Well apply it here. ) or the consequences of getting old ( at 28, puh-leez ). Teeth are an important feature of our attractiveness and presentation to others. Everybody worries about how they appear to others. Caring about our appearance is natural and healthy.Another rationalization for these falling teeth dream may be rooted in your fear of being embarrassed or making a fool of yourself in some specific situation. These dreams are an over-exaggeration of your worries and anxiety( nah, I could care less ).Teeth are used to bite, tear, chew and gnaw. In this regard, teeth represent power. And the loss of teeth in your dream may be from a sense of powerlessness. Are you lacking power in some current situation? Perhaps you are having difficulties expressing yourself or getting your point across. You feel frustrated when your voice is not being heard. You may be experiencing feelings of inferiority and a lack of self-confidence in some situation or relationship in your life. This dream is an indication that you need to be more assertive and believe in the value of your own opinion. In the latest research, it has been shown that women in menopause have frequent dreams about teeth (maybe I'm going through menopause @ 28, you never know ). This may be related to getting older and/or feeling unattractive and less feminine.Traditionally, it was thought that dreaming that you did not have teeth, represent malnutrition which may be applicable to some dreamers.Other PerspectivesA scriptural interpretation for bad or falling teeth indicate that you are putting your faith, trust, and beliefs in what man thinks rather than in the word of God. The bible says that God speaks once, yea twice in a dream or a vision in order to hide pride from us, to keep us back from the pit, to open our ears (spiritually) and to instruct and correct us ( I sure do hope I'm not misunderstanding my sign from God!!! ) .In the Greek culture, when you dream about loose, rotten, or missing teeth, it indicates that a family member or close friend is very sick or even near death. ( This last part is the one that makes more sense, or at least what ties in to what I thought my dream meant. )According to the Chinese, there is a saying that your teeth will fall out if your are telling lies.It has also been said that if you dream of your teeth falling out, then it symbolizes money. This is based on the old tooth fairy story. If you lose a tooth and leave it under the pillow, a tooth fairy would bring you money

So out of all those interpretations, I choose to believe the one about the "old tooth fairy story" because that would mean my dream symbolized MONEY. =0D
I'm gonna go check under my pillow now!

I've had the teeth falling out dream a couple of times, myself. Not recently, though. In fact, I can't remember too many recent dreams (I used to be able to remember quite a few of them). Maybe, I'm just getting old.

No wonder I haven't had any teeth falling out dreams. No money is coming my way. It's just flowing out. Crap. :)

I love that...so since I have not had a dream about losing my teeth (I should have after all the dental work LOL) does that mean no money is coming my way cause I'm in the same boat sista...can you share if you do have a windfall?

Hi Rachel! Thanks for visiting my blog. I've had this tooth falling out dream too. My hubby has it too. Weird, huh? We also have the dream where we are sitting in class and aren't prepared for a test... like we haven't shown up for class in weeks and don't know what's going on. That has to say something about us too. :) ~Jill

I have never had that dream myself, but a couple of my friends have. I am going to go check out that website. I chose the same prompt, and somebody actually commented that therapy is in order.

Lol, that was funny, your notations at some of the interpretations. I think I've had a dream or two about my teeth falling out. Mine is probably because I've had braces for so long I'd almost rather not have teeth at all!
Not really though.

I think I should get a portion of the money you earn because I'm the one that made you look it up...kind of. :) I'm glad you're ok with the workshop day change because I love reading what you do for your assignments...it just wouldn't be the same without you.
